Trama
Kenai, alla fine dell'era glaciale,
vive orfano con i suoi due fratelli maggiori, Denahi e Sitka, che li
tiene d'occhio ogni giorno, in un piccolo villaggio di montagna
nell'Alaska. È ancora un ragazzo, e il suo sogno è proprio quello di
diventare un uomo a tutti gli effetti e mettere la sua impronta sulla
caverna del villaggio, come i suoi antenati. Come tradizione della tribù
di cui fa parte, per diventare un uomo deve seguire il totem che gli
viene consegnato da Tanana, la saggia sciamana del villaggio. Kenai
riceve l'orso dell'amore come totem e non è affatto entusiasta della
cosa, dato che lui odia gli orsi. Il giorno in cui riceve il suo totem, i
pesci che aveva legato ad un albero vengono rubati proprio da un orso,
perché non aveva legato bene il cesto. Kenai decide di seguire l'orso
per riprendersi i pesci.
